We Cannot Drop the Baton Now: Why All Black People Should Get Vaccinated, is a film from our #ThisIsWhy campaign, which explores both the systemic inequity that leads to disparities in African American health (#ThisIsWhyWeDie) and also shine a bright light on folks championing Black wellness in all forms (#ThisIsWhyWeThrive). A year into the Coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Roberto Vargas, Internal Medicine Physician & Assistant Dean for Health Policy at Charles Drew University and Dr. Lauren Teverbaugh, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, Pediatrician, and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Tulane University — join IWES Founder/CEO Dr. Denese Shervington to discuss:

  • How vaccines work

  • Phases of clinical trials that are required for all drugs to be approved by the FDA to be authorized to go out into the community
